About Me

I've always felt an immense pressure to choose one passion in life. Our society doesn't support people who are interested in more than one thing. Perhaps because we confuse, "what people do" - as their identity. If you do more than one thing, then who even are you?

It's only been recently that I've come to terms with the idea that I am more than a job, and more than a single passion.

I LOVE WRITING.

I was longlisted for the 2022 Mogford Food and Beverage Short Story Competition, have written a couple of very unpublished novels and many more self published short stories.

I'm currently working on a fantasy series which I hope to self-publish sometime between now and the end of time.

I LOVE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

The first program I wrote was a text based HAL-1000-esque chatbot written in an unheard of language. Next was a 2d space adventure game made in game editor. Finally I moved into Unity3D development where I made Potato Kings (base building and catapult flinging), Chuffed (puzzle like train management) and countless scraps of games that were never finished.

I LOVE BUSINESS

In 2016 I started my own photo booth business. It's still going today and while it never became the multi-million dollar company I had dreamed of it has taught me some valuable lessons about entrepreneurship. I've also studied with some of the best business leaders in the country and work for a cinema chain creating and implementing business strategies to make cinema relevant again.

I also like science fiction, reading, deep conversations and deeper bowls of ice cream.

There you go, more than a job title or a passion, just an undefinable, constantly changing collection of human-ness.
